Our skilled veterinarians utilize our ultrasound machine to assess the state of each of your pet's internal organs within the abdominal space. A full abdominal ultrasound includes a view of their stomach, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, spleen, intestines, kidneys, bladder, adrenal glands, and lymph nodes. This process allows us to look for abnormalities such as masses and inflammation that may be markers for current or future health concerns. Sonograms are taken of each organ system to store under your pet's file and view later if needed to track changes. These images can also be sent to board-certified veterinary radiologists for expert review when indicated.
We are excited to now offer echocardiograms, or ultrasound scans of the heart, for patients in which heart murmurs or abnormalities were heard during regular examinations. Our echocardiograms include a sonogram of the chambers, walls, and valves of the heart. These are then sent to a board-certified veterinary cardiologist for expert review and returned with professional recommendations for medications, diet, exercise restrictions, safe anesthetics, and follow-ups. As an added bonus, if recheck echocardiograms are needed in the future they are done at a reduced cost.
